About: our name - our logo - our corporate identity

What 'Corpus' Consulting mean

The "Corpus" in Corpus Consulting comes from the dictionary definition:

Corpus n. 1 the body or material substance of anything. 2 a collection. Corpus delicti n. 1 Law the facts and circumstances constituting a breach of the law. 2 the body of essential facts constituting a criminal offence. [Latin,=body of offence]

That definition describes what we do - we are always seeking the material substance; the facts; and the circumstances.

The word map below puts "corpus" in context in today's usage of language:

Our logo and our corporate identity

What it represents and seeks to convey

Our logo is a visual statement of our business and our ethos.

  • It is straight forward;
  • says what we do; and
  • it features a globe of the world focusing on Australia, Asia and the Pacific, which is after all where we got our start.

About the globe

The inclusion of the globe also speaks to our global view and approach to our business. In this sense global is a reference to the all-encompassing way we look at our engagements. We always have an eye to the best options and opportunities for our clients. We are not process driven.

Other design elements

The clock face nearing midnight

Why are there various detail photographs showing clock faces with the hands always approaching 12  throughout the Corpus Consulting website and corporate publications?

This is a reference to the concept of "approaching midnight" or "five minutes to midnight"; meaning time might be running out before a catastrophic event, or events having a severe impact. It means it is now time to act - before it's too late ...

The quality stamp

Our quality stamp expresses our philosophy and commitment to  quality, probity and integrity.

Our former corporate logo

Our former corporate logo reflected the beginnings of our business based on the concept of white collar crime. It was crisp, clean and immediately recognisable.

That logo served us well and we are proud to retain it as a part of our corporate history.

Our new corporate logo design credits

Our new corporate logo and corporate identity (stationery, business cards etc) were a collaborative effort by our staff, with technical design by The Logo Company whose understanding and responsiveness does them credit.
